First In-person Convention Since 2019
On June 22 – 25, 2023 NDPAC hosted the 53rd Annual Convention in Orlando, FL at the JW Marriott Bonnet Creek Resort and Spa. Attendees received up to 6 hours of continuing education hours and an official update on the state of the College from Dean Early. The Council discussed ways to increase membership and participation, recruit for the College, and provided updates on the Council’s various activities throughout the 2022 – 2023 fiscal year. Tampa Bay chapter was named Chapter of the Year, Dr. Angela Hill was honored as Pharmacist of the Year, and Attorney Salesia Smith-Gordon was honored as Distinguished Alumni for the year. Representative Dr. Gallop P. Franklin II as the banquet speaker, encouraged the alumni to get and/or stay involved politically. This Convention also had the distinction of having 7 PharmD candidates in attendance. It was great to see familiar faces and connect again all while supporting CoPPS, IPH.
