PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE,

Greetings!

Charlie W. Colquitt, PharmD, Cph., NDPAC's presidentDear Pharmacy Alumni,

It is with great please and honor to be your National Diamondback Pharmacy Alumni Council President.  My mission is to continue the legacy and great works done by the leadership before me.  The focus of my administration will be to grow the membership, increase the amount of structured givers and increase the attendance of our national pharmacy alumni convention.

Growing our membership is essential to mission and our survival as a strong vibrant organization.  We will continue to explore social media outlets to reach our new graduates and established alumni.  We will continue to use all methods of communication so no rattler is left behind in this new age of social communication.  Currently we have a Linkedin page with over 500 members and we will utilize other common social media outlets such as Instagram, snapchat and twitter to solicit new members.

One of our mission goals as an organization is to provide financial support to College of Pharmacy students and programs.  We are excited about our structured giving program which provides a consistent flow of giving through automatic banking deductions. During the Homecoming 2016 game the NDPAC donated its second allotment of $100,000.  This money is specifically used for student scholarships in leadership, academics and professional development.  A smaller portion of the money is allocated for student assistantship and special needs. During my tenure, I hope to double the number of structured givers.

My last goal will be to increase attendance at our national convention.  Our convention is like no other, being it has the atmosphere of a family reunion.  Along with taking care of the official business of the organization, we offer CE hours, cultural experiences, destination tours and family friendly activities.  We have visited many countries and American cites under the professional development tax shelter.  With all that is offered, it would be advantageous to come to our next convention in Lovely New Orleans, Louisiana and enjoy yourselves!

The NDPAC is alive and on the move!  We have revitalized our chapters and we are doing great things in our communities.  Our pharmacists are the best in the nation and our service is unmatched.  I encourage you to join the movement now and become part of something great.  FAMU has given you the opportunity to live a successful life, its time you reward FAMU and give back to the College of Pharmacy.  Become a member now!
